From 1986 to 2009, David practised as a partner (and from 1995-2001, as Head of Tax) in the London and Birmingham offices of what is now Pinsent Masons. David subseqently became the founding partner in a mixed-disciplinary partnership, the successor to which still bears his name. He ceased to have any formal association with that firm, formerly known as Pett Franklin, on 30 April 2017.
